Wanted to share something again. It's been some time. Yea, I know. Don't spend so much time watching youtube as I used to. But still enough, hehe. Knesiat HaSechel is an Israeli rock band from Tel Aviv. This is I believe their first professional video clip, but I could be wrong, if anybody knows, please comment.

I love the video, it's so beautiful.
Here's the band's Myspace.

Efrat Gosh - Israeli pop music
Efrat Gosh is an Israeli singer producing pop music. She is also featured on the Metropolin album, which is a great source for more Israeli artists, too.
There's only some samples in .wma format on her official website

Yasmin Levy - Ladino music
Yasmin Levy is an Israeli artist singing in the Ladino language, the language of the Sephardic Jews. Pretty understandable if you've got some knowledge of Spanish or another Romance language. Wonderful tunes, inspired by Flamenco of Andalusia and Arabic and of course Jewish influence. She has already been among the Nominees of BBC World Music Award 2006 in the category 'culture crossing' and this year for Mid East and North Africa. Just follow all the links on BBC there's a lot of music samples, even including a complete concert of her from 2005. Have a listen!

בית הבובות Beit Habubot
Unfortunately there's not much online for this band from Israel--that means I haven't found any mp3s downloadable for free-- but at least youtube makes it possible to give you a little impression of this band.

The Idan Raichel Project - A Singer with Two Countries
On the two albums the songs are mainly in Hebrew, some in Aramaic but also feature parts of other languages like the one above features Hindi for example.
They are definitely worth to be tried out.

HaDag Nachash (הדג נחש) - Israeli Hiphop

HaDag Nachash is an Israeli Hip Hop band, famous for their song Shirat Hasticker in which every line sung actually depicts a slogan from one of the many bumper stickers on the cars in Israel which often contain more or less "political" slogans. The song as a whole so "creates an" atmosphere "of angry irony", to quote the wikipedia article of the song.
Listen to the bumper sticker song here and check out their website here.
