This blog strives to promote non-English language music and multiculturalism, as both are often let out and ignored in the societies of today where the omnipresence of the English language dominates the popular culture. We have nothing against English; we value it high as a means of international communication, but it is important that other cultures are not thrown aside in its wake.

Expansion of this project
This blog started about a year ago in order to increase musical diversity. Since yabba, the sole founder, could not placate the raging fans alone, he sought out other contributors in order to increase the post-frequency.

excellent site - you're so right about loads of good music being sung by people in their own language. it sound so naff to hear Welsh/Hungarian/Norwegian/Russian people sing other people's songs in other people's language about places they've never been to.
There's a goos Welsh language scene which has all kinds of music and good, noisy and sweaty gigs.
