Despite its name, Los Porongas is a Brazilian alternative rock band, coming from Acre, our westernmost state, land bought from Bolivia in the transition from the XIX to the XX century:

We have nothing against English; we value it high as a means of international communication, but it is important that other cultures are not thrown aside in its wake.
