Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro - Japanese Jazz
Well they make instrumental music. Funk, or whatever you wish to call it. I think I could mention them here nevertheless. They are from Japan. Let's not start the nut picking :)

...There's also a free site, http://www.youmusic.jp, which lets artists from all countries to share their music and videos. Though the site was initially done in Japanese, and has a pretty large Japanese base, they recently added support for English content.
